The applicant must read the general rules governing the Egypt Digital Builders Initiative scholarship and ensure that he understands all conditions for admission to the scholarship as well as the study system during the scholarship period.
The applicant must be:
o Graduate of the following faculties corresponding to the required specialization:
o Egyptian nationality.
o Graduated from 5 years at most.
o Have a minimum overall grade of “Very good”, or a minimum GPA of 3.0. For GUC graduates, GPA must be less than 2.0.
o English level of at least B2 or its equivalent.
o For males: Completed or exempted from military service.
o A copy of a valid national ID card (both sides).
o In case of professional program:
o In case of Senior program:
o The original certificate of completion, postponement or exemption from military service for males.
o The original certificate of passing the English Language Tests (TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent).
o The opening date for applying for the grant will be announced on the initiative's website (www.debi.gov.eg).
o The student records his data and uploads his full academic documents.
o It is verified that the basic application conditions have been met and that all required documents have been completed for all applicants. Accordingly, those accepted are invited to complete the application stages, which include taking admission tests, attending personal interviews, and sending their academic documents to foreign universities to express their final opinion regarding their admission to the university.
o In the case of a senior program, the papers are sent to the foreign university.
o Those accepted into the scholarship will be notified by email, with a waiting list added for the next applicants in order in the event that one of those accepted is unable to join the scholarship for any reason.
o The official language of instruction is English.
o The grant provided by the Builders of Digital Egypt initiative extends to 8 academic months for the professional program and 12 months for the senior program.
o During the scholarship period, the student studies academic courses in parallel with leadership and management skills and the English language course. The initiative's administration can redistribute courses to students according to developments.
o The study plan for each specialty track will be announced upon completion of the registration process and student acceptance.
o The student may not modify or delete any of the courses registered for him by the initiative’s administration according to the specialized track in which he is registered. However, he must follow the study plan set by the initiative’s administration and adhere to it.
o The student may not submit a request to stop enrollment in the scholarship.
o The student must adhere to the requirements for success in the courses being studied, and the student is also committed to applying the rules and regulations of the initiative’s partners.
o The student is obligated to agree to exchange and share his data, documents, and academic record during the scholarship between the initiative administration, universities, companies, and entities participating in the initiative.
o Program coordinator: The management of each major track determines an academic coordinator for each group of students in order to monitor their academic level during the study period and guide them when needed.
The student's enrollment in the scholarship is canceled in the event of non-compliance with any of the following:
If it is proven that there is a violation of any of the above-mentioned obligations, all or some of them, the scholarship provided to the student will be canceled without any right of recourse against the donor. He is also committed to refunding the full grant expenses that were paid in accordance with the program in which he is registered to the donor.
